VP - Income Tax Accounting

THE ROLE

We are seeking a VP of Income Tax Accounting to lead the Company's foreign & domestic income tax reporting and global ASC 740 compliance.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
• Provide day-to-day leadership and direction for all global ASC 740 tax functions.
• Review the quarterly and annual income tax provisions, including deferred tax analysis.
• Lead the company's tax modeling process for the corporate planning function.
• Responsible for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance through documentation of controls.
• Provide tax accounting considerations related to reorganization transactions, acquisitions, and divestitures.
• Liaise with Corporate Accounting, FP&A, and Internal Audit departments in support of impact of of various company tax implications.
• Proactively identify potential weaknesses in tax strategies, controls, reporting, and other aspects of the business and recommend solutions.
• Analyze and interpret changes to federal and state tax laws as well as communicating financial statement impact of changes.
• Review and update income tax footnote to ensure all required disclosures are provided in the company's financial statements.
• Manage relationship with external consultants and auditor as needed.
• Review documentation and support of FAS 5 or FIN 48 tax reserves, including interest and penalty calculations.
• Lead and assist with other projects as necessary.

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
• At least 15-20 years of comparable experience in large corporate environment for publicly-traded company, and/or public accounting with a preference for Big 4 or large national firm including previous experience in an ASC 740 role
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Tax required, MST preferred.
• Proficient in income tax accounting of partnerships and other flow through entities.
• Comprehensive understanding of US GAAP and/or IFRS accounting standards.
• Advanced knowledge of tax accounting principles and experience with and reporting book/tax differences.
• Success in high-performance environments and the ability to think strategically in a group environment.
• Strong analytical and project management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Personal drive to develop self and others.
• Experience with Oracle and Corptax proficiency preferred
