Job Description
THE ROLE
We are seeking a Staff Accountant in our Corporate Accounting department to support the day-to-day functions of the organization with a focus on cash.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
• Prepare approximately 45 monthly bank account reconciliations and coordinate clearing action of reconciling items
• Process daily bank activity downloads into Oracle
• Assist with preparation of Corporate deposits
• Maintain cash and wire logs
• Prepare and record various journal entries including cash activity, accruals, and other month end activity
• Assist with month end close including posting standard close entries, reconciliations of accounts and system sub-modules to the General Ledger, and research
• Complete various Balance Sheet schedules to be used by management in monthly and quarterly financial statement reviews
• Process monthly Corporate credit card payments and allocation of expenses
• Assist with internal and external audit requests
• Other duties as assigned by management
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• 1-3 years related Accounting work experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Multi-task oriented
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong organization skills
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office – specifically Excel (experience with pivot tables and intermediate formulas etc.)
• Oracle experience a plus
