THE ROLE
We are seeking a Senior Staff Accountant for the South America division, a segment of the Live Nation live music business. The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for managing accounting and financial operations across South America, with a primary focus on the Argentina market. This role will oversee month-end and quarter-end close processes, ensure compliance with SOX requirements, and lead special or ad hoc projects as needed.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
• Ensure South America financials are in compliance with US GAAP, company procedures / policies, including SOA/SOX compliance.
• Prepare and enter month end journal entries as part of the month-end close process.
• Reconciliation of Latin America event P&Ls and Show Settlements.
• Assist local South America teams with Corporate Reporting – Monthly Balance Sheet and P&L reconciliation to Third Party Latin America Systems.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests.
• Reconcile General Ledger accounts and research to ensure accuracy.
• Maintains, controls, and reconciles accounts that are complex.
• Assist with quarterly reporting and special projects as assigned.
• Maintains and Reconciles Monthly Eliminations of IFRS adjustments.
• Prepare ad-hoc analyses for executive management.
• Responsibilities include but are not limited to Argentina Entities.
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Accounting required
• CPA/CPA candidate preferred
• Bilingual in English and Spanish required
• 3-5 years related work experience – preferably Big 4 Audit experience (previous Entertainment experience a plus)
• Experience working with South America, specifically Argentina, preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Project Management Experience
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office – advanced Excel experience
• Oracle and SAP experience a plus
• Strong analytical skills, organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
