Senior Counsel

THE JOB

We are seeking a Senior Counsel for the Live Nation Concerts division, a segment of the Live Nation live music business. This role is preferably based in California but we are open to other locations for the right qualified candidate.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
• Review, draft, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements, including, without limitation, booking agreements, artist performance agreements, festival promotion agreements, consulting/independent contractor agreements, co-promotion agreements, production agreements, license agreements, service provider agreements and equipment rental agreements.
• Provide timely and accurate advice on legal matters to business team, including advising on risks and liabilities associated with potential transactions, existing contracts, pre-litigation dispute resolution efforts, and policy documents.
• Communicate and interact with internal business partners and third-party attorneys to negotiate and finalize contracts.
• Assist with updating internal contract templates.
• Manage contract process and provide regular status reports to internal team members.

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

Required:
• J.D. from accredited law school and state bar membership in good standing.
• Minimum of ten years' experience as an attorney, negotiating and drafting sophisticated legal transactions and agreements.
• Experience directly related to the concert promotion, festival, or venue management business is a plus.
• Excellent organization skills and ability to manage high volume under tight deadlines and with minimal supervision.
• Desire to partner with business clients to provide practical solutions.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Concise writing skills.
• Experience in interacting and communicating with all levels of business operations.
• Proficiency in document review, editing, and redlining.
