JOB SUMMARY:
The Safety Ambassador Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of the Safety Ambassador team and staff within the venue. Duties may also include additional functions under the direction of the Security Manager and Operations Manager.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
• Direct and supervise safety ambassador crew members and other employees performing safety ambassador services for guests.
• Provide guest service by greeting and assisting guests and responding to guest inquiries and complaints.
• Keep all staff members well-informed on event specific details.
• Assist the Security Manager to ensure compliance with all policies and procedures that relate to the security department and in turn the safety ambassador team, as well as local, provincial, and federal laws and regulations.
• Warn guests of rule infractions or violations of venue policies while preserving safety, order and protect venue property.
• Oversee work assignments, hiring, training, and scheduled breaks of the safety ambassador team.
• Report challenges and status of all assignments prior to the conclusion of the shift to the Security Manager.
• Show CARE by participating in venue recycling efforts before, during and after the show.
• Train and evaluate safety ambassador team members in venues.
• Role model and enforce safety, health, and security priorities.
• Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as witnessed incidents, equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
• Other tasks as assigned by the Security Manager or Operations Manager
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
• 2 years experience in a similar role preferred.
• Valid Ontario Security Guard License or previous security experience preferred.
• Valid Smart Serve Certificate
• Available to work full-time throughout the 2023 season.
• Working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a business environment and enforcement procedures.
• Strong strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Acute sense of judgment, tact and diplomacy
• A strong-sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs
• Position requires constant walking, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying 50 lbs+ and occasional sitting

Physical Requirements/Work Environment
Stationary position for extended periods of time at a computer station or work desk; movement throughout the day; occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.; ability to operate computers and office equipment for up to 8 hours each day; move up to 10 pounds regularly; exposed to typical office environment conditions and noise levels.
