Job Description
About Venue Nation:
At the heart of Live Nation's venues sits Venue Nation Australia, the team shaping how live entertainment is experienced on the ground. As part of Live Nation Australasia, we work across a diverse and growing venue portfolio, focused on innovation, excellence and creating spaces where unforgettable moments happen night after night.
About the role:
Are you energised by the thrill of live entertainment and the challenge of building audiences for world-class venues? We're looking for a strategic and collaborative Marketing Manager to lead marketing across two of Melbourne's most iconic live entertainment venues, Palais Theatre and Festival Hall.
Reporting to the National Marketing Manager, you'll own the marketing strategy for Victoria, driving campaigns that fill rooms, strengthen venue reputation, and create unforgettable experiences for audiences. From venue-driven initiatives and self-promoted shows to hirer campaigns and sponsorship activations, you'll be the marketing lead bringing it all together, working across campaign development, CRM and digital channels, paid media, stakeholder management, and performance analytics.
If you're ready to make your mark on Melbourne's live entertainment scene, we want to hear from you! Apply now with your resume and a cover letter outlining why you're the perfect fit for this role.
What you'll be doing:
• Campaign leadership: Develop and execute marketing campaigns across venue initiatives (premium experiences, memberships, F&B), hirer shows, self-promoted events, and sponsorship commitments, translating national strategy into impactful local activation.
• CRM and digital strategy: Own venue workspaces in Braze, creating personalised engagement journeys across the fan lifecycle to drive acquisition, retention, and conversion through segmentation, automation, and multi-channel campaigns.
• Paid media management: Oversee paid media activity with agency partners from brief through to post-campaign reporting, ensuring spend is optimised and aligned with campaign goals.
• Performance insights: Use customer data, behavioural insights, and campaign analytics to inform strategy, deliver KPI reports, provide post-campaign insights to hirers, and benchmark against industry trends.
• Budget oversight: Manage venue marketing budgets, track spend, forecast costs accurately, and ensure all event marketing expenses are captured in final settlements.
• Stakeholder collaboration: Act as the key marketing contact for internal teams, external promoters, media partners, and creative agencies, fostering strong relationships and clear communication across all touchpoints.
What you'll bring:
• Marketing experience: Minimum 5 years in marketing roles within events, venues, entertainment, or related sectors with a proven track record delivering integrated, multi-channel campaigns.
• CRM expertise: Hands-on experience with CRM platforms (ideally Braze), including segmentation, automation, lifecycle journeys, and best practice campaign setup.
• Analytical strength: Strong ability to interpret data, extract insights, and translate findings into actionable strategies that improve campaign performance.
• Budget and project management: Experience managing budgets, timelines, creative production workflows, and coordinating multiple stakeholders across competing priorities.
• Agency collaboration: Comfortable working alongside paid media agencies, providing clear briefs and ensuring deliverables meet campaign objectives.
• Adaptability and collaboration: A positive, can-do attitude with the ability to thrive in fast-paced, event-driven environments while building strong cross-functional relationships.
The Benefits:
• A vibrant, music-focused workplace fostering creativity and collaboration.
• Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
• A flexible approach to when and where you work, designed to support balance in all aspects of life.
• Access to concerts, events, and other entertainment perks.
• A diverse, equitable workplace where every voice matters.
• Comprehensive benefits, from volunteer days to wellness programs and mental health support.
