Role Description
This role is a key member of the festival finance team, reporting to the Finance Manager. If you have management accounting experience and a passion for festivals then this would be an excellent opportunity to contribute to our world-class festivals and outdoor shows while progressing your finance career.
Key responsibilities will include supporting the day-to-day accounting, control and reporting for three Festival companies and assisting with the accounting for centralsied Fesitval Infrastructure projects, along with being a key member of the finance team that helps the team deliver the events successfully.
The role will work closely with and support the Operations, Marketing, Artist and wider interal Finance teams within the business and will look to constantly improve processes, systems, and controls.

Competencies / Skills / Knowledge / Experience
• Experience in preparing management accounts and financial reports, as well as balance sheet management.
• Good knowledge of/keen interest in the music/live events industry.
• Adaptable, with excellent time management skills and ability to handle pressure with sometimes conflicting deadlines.
• Great attention to detail and passionate about getting it right first time.
• Strong Excel knowledge and application of relevant formulas.
• AAT or Accounting Degree. Qualified/part qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA.

• Happy to be flexible in working hours to facilitate working/attending festivals. This will involve being away onsite during the summer and our events typically take place at weekends but it is likely that travel is also required during the working week as well.
What the role includes
Daily/Weekly Responsibilities:
• Review and approval of purchase orders and purchase invoices in line with forecasts.
• Preparing and reviewing weekly payment runs.
• Aged debt reviews.
Month/Quarter/Year End:
• Leading the month end process within the division and ensuring month end journals, including accruals, payroll, bad debt, prepayments, are posted accurately.
• Providing the division's monthly variance analysis and commentary of actual performance against forecast by festival.
• Preparing the monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assisting with the annual audit, resolving queries, and providing supporting information in a timely manner.
Budgeting/Forecasting:
• Preparing the festival budgets/forecasts, working with other departments to keep P&L figures up to date.
• Festival ticket sales forecasting - reviewing sales to date versus forecast sales and highlighting areas of concern.
• Preparing the division's monthly cashflow forecasting, highlighting any potential areas of concern.
• Preparing monthly forecast packs.
