Job Description
THE JOB
The Backstage Coordinator will assist in all aspects of hospitality in relation to events at the Xfinity Center as assigned by the Backstage Hospitality & Facilities Manager. This personwill gain and understand the inner workings of the venue's backstage team and touring personnel. This position does not oversee any departments or have any direct reports.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
• Assist Backstage Hospitality & Facilities Manager as assigned that will contribute to the successful operation of concerts and other events. Non-event day tasks could vary and will be clearly communicated.
• Gain insight into, and an understanding of, all back of house functions, including advancing, experience curation, production, hospitality, facility management, catering, and more.
• Assist venue team as directed given the needs for a particular show during events.
• Immerse with front-line employees to identify ways to incorporate our service principles of safety, care, encore and efficiency.
• Create and deliver post-show reports on show activities, insights, and recommendations.
• Shadow Backstage Hospitality & Facilities Manager to understand what it takes to operate and manage a successful BOH.
• This position does not oversee any departments or have any direct reports.
• Position requires constant walking, lifting and carrying 50+ lbs. and occasional sitting.
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
• Previous events coordination experience preferred (school, internship, or professional)
• Previous experience with high-profile clients preferred
• Previous experience with food & beverage and/or large-scale catering operations preferred
• Creative thinker and problem solver
• A motivated self-starter• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Acute sense of judgment, tact, and diplomacy
• A strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs
• Position requires constant walking, lifting and carrying 50+ lbs. and occasional sitting.
