Job Description
The Assistant Production Manager- Special Events is responsible for assisting the Production Manager and Sales Department in all aspects
of the Production Department, with their primary focus on Special Events. They will serve as liaison between the clients, artists, and advance
all rider needs within limitations of the contract and venue. They will coordinate multi-event show builds multiple times a week. They are
responsible assisting and reviewing emergency procedures, enforce rules and regulations designed to prevent security problems or safety
hazards. The Assistant Production Manger- Special Events assists with managing the Production Department and Team including
scheduling, load-ins, load-outs, settlements and maintenance of production gear. They must be able to delegate, foreshadow and manage all
interactions with the clients and artists from advance, to setup, and settlement. Must be organized, able to work well in stressful
environments, respect privacy, and handle all types of personalities. Must be strong communicator to Clients, Special Events Department and
all other venue departments to meet expectations.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
• Ensure positive environment and excellent service to Clients, Guests, Management Team, and Staff.
• Maintain consistent communication between Special Events, Operations and Production Manager.
• Act as the first contact within the Special Events Department for all technical related Client needs.
• Work closely with Clients in order to determine and translate technical needs and details for Special Events and Team.
Work directly with the Brooklyn Bowl Sales Department in order to assist and support the pre-sales, planning and execution of
Events per Client, Sales and organizational needs.
• Communicate and work closely with Production Manager and Production Supervisor, assist with all aspects of operation of the
Production Department.
• Must handle event documents, including information flow, labor management, invoicing and reconciliation in accordance with
venue procedures.
• • Leads areas in forecasting staffing needs and production details for key events.
• Readily and proficiently performs all duties when necessary.
Work with Production Manager for maintenance of all Production related technical equipment: Scheduling preventative
maintenance and overseeing all repairs, updates and upgrades.
• • Delegate all Production labor needs to successfully execute Events, in accordance with venue standards.
• Knowledge of electrical safety and risk mitigation practices.
• Knowledge of AV equipment inventory management, budgeting, purchasing, tracking, installation, and repair.
Technical skills: can independently operate and instruct others to operate portable and installed AV equipment (sound, lighting,
projection, theatrical rigging) for events.
• • Work with vendors and coordinate pick up and drop of equipment as needed.
• Run tests on videos and audio signals and troubleshoot problems as they arise.
• Interest, experience, and/or ability to promote cultural competency and/or diversity.
• Ability to make independent decisions in the best interest of the department.
• Ability to recruit, hire, train, mentor and evaluate staff.
• Develop best practices and provide ongoing training programs for department.
• Prepares and maintains standard operating procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Work with Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas and I.A.T.S.E to uphold the Collective Bargaining Agreement with Union Represented
employees.
• • Hold team accountable for all policies and procedures as set forth by the Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas Employee Handbook.
NON-PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be able to communicate professionally and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
• A minimum of (2) two years supervising employees.
• A minimum of (5) five years working in a live music venue.
• Solid working understanding of technical gear related to a live music venue.
• Audio/Video/Lighting/Networking
Understanding of computer programs from data processing (Microsoft Office, Google Applications) to AV Management
systems (Crestron, etc.).
• • Ability to transport and set up heavy equipment.
• Must have flexible work hours and availability.
• Must adhere to all safety measures and policies.

LEVEL (AND FREQUENCY OF USE) CAN AND DOES FLUCTUATE DEPENDING ON THE INDIVIDUAL TASKS BEING PERFORMED.
PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• Ability to move throughout the venue during the entire shift.
• Must have the endurance and ability to walk between 3 - 5 miles per shift.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
• Must be able to verbally communicate.
• Visual abilities needed for detailed paperwork and observation.
• Ability to bend, twist, stoop, climb and stand to perform normal job functions.
• Must be able to work in an environment with loud music and crowds for extended periods of
• time.
• Must be able to stand for entire shift.
