Job Description
Reporting to the Director of Corporate Accounting, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for the timely and accurate month-end close of t he numerous LN Canada companies. T his role ensures the proper close of full-cycle accounting including AP, AR, Bank Reconciliations, Balance Shee t accounts, and internal reporting . The Accounting Manager will have one direct report and will work with an accounting team of over 30 staff to collaborate and problem solve to ensure accounting workflow is effective and complete.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Review and take lead on month-end close of AP, AR, Cash and Bank Reconciliations
• Ensure integrity of all balance sheet accounts and lead sheets within deadlines
• Prepare and review complex journal entries
• Prepare monthly and quarterly Corporate Reporting
• Responsible for CAPEX expenditures and Fixed Assets reconciliations
• Responsible for cash and inventory counts and controls at offices and venues
• Oversee reconciliation and settlement of intercompany transactions with other partner entities
• Oversee tax remittances (GST/ HST, PST, QST, NRW, SOCAN)
• Oversee and reporting of existing and new leases
• Oversee digital storage of financial reports and support for audit purposes
• M anage day-to-day responsibilities of the Intermediate Accountant and work as key member of the Corporate Reporting team to ensure month-end deadlines are met
• Maintains and enforces a documented system of accounting policies and procedures to ensure SOX and internal control compliance
• Assist and respond to internal and external audit requests as needed
• Other tasks as assigned
Skills & Qualities Desired
• Experience in managing the month-end close in a tight deadline
• Experience working in a large, complex
organization.
• Experience in filing and remitting tax (GST/HST, NRW, PST)
• Experience with GL reconciliation of high-volume accounts
• Strong organizational & time managemen t abilities
• Strong analytical skil ls and very detail oriented
• S trong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to mul ti-task, proactively solve problems , prioritize, and meet time-critical deadlines
• 5 + years full cycle accounting experience
• Strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with
Oracle preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination will be required for this position subject to legally valid exemptions
Education & Knowledge Desired
• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance , or equivalent education
• Accounting Designation required

Physical Requirements/Work Environment
Sits for extended periods of time at a computer station or work desk; stands and walks throughout the day; occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.; uses hands and fingers to operate computers and office equipment for up to 8 hours each day; lifts up to 10 pounds regularly; exposed to typical office environment conditions and noise levels.
