Gemini Live Events LLC offers custom lighting, audio and video systems designs based on our client's needs and budget. We specialize in stage lighting, audio and video systems design, equipment selection and installation for all types of venues, architectural controls, interior, and exterior lighting for buildings.

The Project Estimator-Sales & Installation
- will be located at the Gemini facility in Dallas, TX.
• This is a full time salary exempt position.
• This position will be eligible for medical, dental and vision coverage on the 1st of the month following the start date.

Project Estimator-Sales & Installation -
Overview:

This position will primarily be responsible for the preparation and delivery of project cost proposals by collecting vendor quotes for materials as well as estimating labor and associated costs using the department software programs in support of the sales and Integration department customer requests.

Reporting to the Project Manager-sales & installation, this position will also be responsible for managing the estimating due-date calendar, maintaining the database of vendors and pricing and conducting project costing post-installation reviews to drive constant process improvement and accuracy to the estimating process.

Essential Function of The Project Estimator- Sales & Installation :

While not all-inclusive, the following is a list of primary and general duties. In addition to these listed duties, this position shall also perform other tasks as assigned, shall abide by all provisions of the Employee Handbook, and shall participate in all company initiatives and projects.

Project Estimator -Sales & Installation will be responsible for the following:
• Daily update of adding new project quotation deadlines to the department calendar.
• Management of the shared drive estimates folder, adding and moving project folders as needed.
• Maintains the vendor pricing and product information shared folders.
• Open new project folders and files as required and populate with incoming documentation provided by the Outside Sales Manager, Field Service staff and customer provided photos, drawings and information.
• Create new project files in the estimating software and populate with required project profile information.
• Review all drawings, written specifications, and customer provided documentation to ensure an accurate and complete scope of work is outlined in the estimating software project profile.
• Request, receive, organize and verify for accuracy all vendor quotes necessary to complete the estimate.
• Populate the project estimating file with all appropriate vendor quotes, internal and contract labor components as the estimate requires.
• Complete the estimate and format as necessary for presentation to the customer with all required documents, spec sheets and other necessary information.
• Review the completed estimate with the Project Manager, Department Manager, Outside Sales Manager and/or VP Sales & Integration as necessary for final proposal sign-off.
• Assist the Project Manager in providing final close-out documentation as needed.
• Be client and vendor facing and provide excellent customer service, while building professional relationships.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Education and Experience for the Project Estimator, Sales & Installation
• College degree in technical theater preferred but not required
• Industry experience required - minimum 3 to 5 years in entertainment/installation lighting or equivalent electrical or construction estimating fields.
• Knowledge in stage/entertainment lighting, DMX and network and control systems.
• Knowledge of basic commercial construction processes.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work under frequently tight deadlines with
• accuracy.
• Ability to quickly solve problems and issues.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions of supervisors and communicate
openly and clearly with others.
• AutoCAD/Vectorworks knowledge preferred but not required, ability to read plots and design

Specs.
• Willingness to learn and operate company designated software (i.e. JetBuilt, NetSuite

and Flex)
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to follow safety protocols without exception.

Work Environment of the Project Estimator, Sales & Installation

This job operates in a warehouse, office, and venue/event space environment. This role involves frequent communication with internal employees and external contacts-via phone, email, and any other professional means of communication necessary. The person in this role will frequently and routinely work in a warehouse where temperatures can fluctuate from hot to cold. This person in this role will routinely be exposed to loud noises from both machinery and product. This person in this role will be able to traverse large events spaced and be able to work a min of 30 ft in the air.

Physical Demands of the Project Estimator, Sales & Installation

The person in this role must be able to both move about the jo bsite frequently, walk, bend, stoop, stand and climb, and at times, remain stationary depending on the task or the shift of the day. This person must move about occasionally inside the office to access office machinery and to have routine contact with other facility individuals. The person in this role must effectively interact with employees and customers, obtain information, attend meetings as needed to complete the essential job duties. The person in this role must have the ability to move up to 100 lbs occasionally, and up to 50 lbs frequently, push, pull and move or traverse large event spaces. This person in this role will be comfortable and will frequently work at great heights.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full - time position. Hours of work are typically an 8 hour day with breaks and lunches given per compliance with federal and state laws. This person in this role will typically work an 8 am to 5 pm schedule, except during high volume periods when evening and weekend work may be required. This position at some times will require overtime. There may be flexible work schedules implemented due to business needs.

Travel

This position may require occasional travel, up to 5%. Travel may be mixed - local and outside the local area and overnight.
