Summary of Position

Lionsgate has an immediate opening for a Manager of Metadata Systems and Standards in the Content Operations & Strategy group. As a member of the team, you are expected to serve in an operational role liaising with all segments of business including Sales, Integrated Marketing, Product Fulfillment, Finance, Information Technology and Business Affairs. In the course of day-to-day business, this role will be responsible for maintaining storefront, legal and descriptive metadata for Lionsgate's expansive film and television catalog. This role will act as a central contact across all business units for metadata creation or procurement, audit, assimilation, and delivery, and collaborate with IS/IT teams to design and implement system and workflow improvements of an evolving media and entertainment landscape.

In support of these functions, this role will be part of a dynamic team in a rapidly growing segment of the media and entertainment space. Required skills include: keen attention to detail amidst vast amounts of data, strong communication skills, penchant and ability for problem solving, strong understanding of data structures and database design, and a passion for efficiency and working smart.

Responsibilities
• Manage procurement, audit, storage, and distribution of descriptive and storefront metadata for Lionsgate's entire content catalog

• Harmonize metadata repository with ancillary materials such as artwork and timed text assets in cloud-native environment for expedient digital endpoint delivery.

• Act as point of contact across enterprise for metadata needs and requests

• Interface with internal and external technology stakeholders to improve metadata systems and workflows

• Integrate Lionsgate's metadata systems with both upstream content/data aggregators and downstream delivery partners and platforms

• Research and identify opportunities to optimize and unify efficient access and use of metadata across enterprise

• Successfully engage with varying levels of management at Lionsgate, retail partners, strategic vendors, and industry as a whole

• Other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications and Skills
• Prior experience in Metadata, Data Management, Content Operations, or like field required

• Working understanding of API's, XML, and JSON preferred

• Experience with VBA, Python, or similar a plus

• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced skillset in Excel

• Knowledge and application of industry standards of content distribution, such as Movielabs Digital Distribution Framework (MDDF)

• Upbeat personality and a passion for learning

• Extremely proactive and embracing of an entrepreneurial environment
