Summary of Position

Lionsgate's Worldwide TV & Digital Distribution team is seeking an Executive Director, Global Strategy & Licensing. This position requires a confident, curious, self-starting individual with a strong analytical background and a strategic mindset. The Executive Director will be responsible for identifying, developing, and executing incremental revenue opportunities for Lionsgate's global distribution business, as well as supporting future licensing renewals and negotiations in the digital video-on-demand (VOD) ecosystem. Additionally, they'll work across many divisions within the studio as well as with clients such as OTT channels, other studios, networks, media startups, advertisers and more.

Responsibilities
• Identify & evaluate growth opportunities for Lionsgate through research of emerging technologies, creation of experimental business models, and the formation of new partnerships

• Project manage new and existing business development opportunities for Lionsgate's TV Distribution to drive meaningful results

• Work cross-functionally with marketing, legal, transactional sales and licensing teams to execute and close deals effectively

• Identify efficiencies across TV distribution and build business cases to implement them

• Initiate and lead strategic analysis and research that will produce insights to help guide senior management in decision making

• Develop market overviews as well as create competitive landscapes in conjunction with Lionsgate's existing research teams

• Assist on global VOD licensing negotiations and special projects

Qualifications and Skills
• Approximately 5 – 7 years of previous experience in business development, strategy, and/or licensing

• Must be self-directed, able to work independently, and work co-operatively in a team-oriented setting

• Ability to constantly multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

• Strong work ethic, reliable, mature, professional, positive attitude, and excellent organizational skills

• A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

• A passion for learning about the rapidly changing digital distribution landscape, combined with the ability to form strategic ideas and opinions

• Bachelor's degree required
