Summary of Position
Lionsgate is currently seeking a Director, Acquisition Strategy to partner with the EVP and senior team with all 3rd party library acquisition analysis, and relationship management. This role will support the group in its efforts to evaluate, onboard, and manage key library initiatives.
Responsibilities
• Evaluate and assess newly proposed library acquisitions for long-term strategic and financial value for the worldwide television distribution business
• Interface and produce deliverables for key senior management across the organization, including the C-Suite, Motion Picture, and Television Executives
• Partner with EVP on any key initiatives regarding new library opportunities or strategic management of current 3rd party libraries
• Partner with EVP to assess and negotiate key expirations and renewals for 3rd party acquisitions
• Collaborate with Finance to conduct greenlight modeling for acquisitions and renewals
• Develop high-impact, ad-hoc presentations for Divisional President under tight deadlines
• Manage and maintain third-party content partner relationships and frequently evaluate potential for new opportunities
• Partner closely with the organization's functional teams (Legal, Servicing, Domestic & International Sales, and Sales Planning), leading all operational content on-boarding processes
• Perform analysis of large amounts of data associated with the potential for monetization of acquired libraries, translating insights related to profitability and investment in an ever-evolving marketplace
• Support and drive all operational processes associated with the conversion of distributed only titles to owned and distributed, including the management of participants, inventory, ultimate's, expirations, sales tools, and points of integration
• Identify innovative acquisitions opportunities across franchisees and content for distribution
• Continuously contribute to the development of short and long-term business plans for continuous future growth
• Partner with EVP and Participations team for management of statement requests, as they pertain to liabilities, renewals and key participants/titles
• Meet regularly with Sales Planning team to track libraries process as they relate to fiscal goals
• Help formulate cross-departmental strategic analysis and implementation (Intl, Domestic, Digital, Participations, Sales Planning, Rights, Servicing, Marketing)
Qualifications and Skills
• Project Management skills with the ability to:
• Interact with all internal teams as well as key external players
• Organize and synthesize information into actionable insights
• Multi-task to proactively meet deadlines
• Strong MS Office skills including Excel and PowerPoint
• 3-5 years' of directly related experience required
Nice to Haves
• Comprehension and Retention of Library profiles including rights in/out, sales history
• Experience working in a sales planning or library acquisition capacity

Compensation
$120,000 - $135,000
