Summary of Position

The Coordinator, Events will join a small events team that manages dozens of industry related events a year including MIPTV, MIPCOM, NATPE, ATF, LA Screenings, TCA's, BANFF, Premieres, Screenings, Festivals, Sales Meetings, Sales Retreats, and special events.

The right candidate should have an understanding of the TV and entertainment landscape, a creative eye with big ideas, excellent communication skills, a proactive mindset, the ability to adaptively manage multiple internal and external clients, work well in a team environment, bring a 'can do' attitude to all projects, and solve a litany of time sensitive and unique challenges.

Responsibilities
• Supports the SVP and Sr. Manager in planning and management of dozens of internal and external events each calendar year

• Coordinates execution of event elements – including design, vendors and venues, A/V, catering, hotel management, staffing, scheduling, registration, team dinners, transportation, promo items, event activations and entertainment, etc.

• Supports successful creative, logistics, budget planning and tracking

• Develops vendor and location relationships, performs research, and provides proposed solutions

• Provides status updates to the events team on a regular basis

• Supports events logistics, including coordinating shipment pickups and deliveries, and the organization and packing of materials and supplies for shipments to global and domestic conferences

• Daily prioritization of numerous requests, projects, and requests

• Responsible for invoice processing, vendor payment liabilities and team expenses

• Liaises between conference organizers, vendors and venues (i.e. screening rooms) and our creative team to make sure content is created to detailed specifications and delivered on time

Qualifications and Skills
• 1-2 years of directly relevant experience, planning and managing events

• You are passionate about and current on industry trends and technologies

• Extremely positive outlook, a ''can do'' attitude, and you stay calm under pressure

• You are a creative thinker with big ideas

• Very strong written and verbal communication skills

• Able to build cross-divisional and inter-company relationships

• Works well in dynamic, changing and team-oriented environment

• Ability to build project timelines and drive to key dates

• Deep list of vendor, location, and event resource relationships

• Highly organized, detailed and solution-oriented

• Strong financial acumen for budgeting and cost tracking and reporting

• A meaningful interest in the business of television is a must

• Ability to constantly multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

• Previous experience with MIPTV, MIPCOM, BANFF and LA SCREENINGS a plus

• Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and presentation skills

• A college degree is preferred
