Summary of Position

Lionsgate is seeking experienced candidates for the role of Assistant to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Motion Picture Group (MPG). The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, resourceful, detail-oriented, great at multitasking and prioritizing in a very fast-paced and highly confidential environment. The candidate should possess strong interpersonal skills and feel comfortable communicating with high-level executives on a range of matters.

The Assistant will work across the entire MPG supporting the day to day needs of the COO as well as playing a critical role in supporting the Strategy & Innovation (S&I) Vertical (comprised of four distinct cross-functional departments: Data Strategy & Innovation, Inclusive Content, Business Strategy & Planning, and Workplace Innovation). This is an extremely exciting opportunity to be exposed to the highest levels of the industry's largest independent motion picture studio as the business evolves rapidly.

Responsibilities
• Provide critical strategic and operational support to the COO, Motion Picture Group by handling all traditional executive assistant duties (i.e. scheduling both virtual & in-person meetings, rolling calls, booking travel, submitted expense reports & invoices, etc.).

• Proactively protect and prioritize department head's time by managing a complex and dynamic calendar.

• Facilitate communication & collaboration within broader S&I vertical.

• Create and maintain effective filing systems, databases, and project/timeline trackers to ensure the COO is knowledgeable of all priority workstreams & runs at the highest level of efficiency.

• Prepare and disseminate supporting materials and agendas for priority internal meetings and external meetings.

• Attend key internal and external meetings, taking notes and actively participating in brainstorms and problem solving where appropriate. Compile thorough meeting recaps upon request and proactively conduct follow-ups as needed.

• Partner with the Office of the MPG Chairmen on quarterly board meeting prep as well as select business strategy projects/research.

• Perform ad hoc duties & assignments as needed including MPG-wide initiatives, programs, and events to foster comradery & employee engagement.

• Keep track of relevant trends in the broader entertainment industry and flag breaking news where relevant. Compile industry roundups for department or broader Motion Picture Group as applicable.

Qualifications & Skills
• 2+ years of either entertainment industry or finance experience

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university

• Keen attention to detail and excellent organization skills, including ability to juggle multiple initiatives and prioritize based on urgency and impact

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to concisely and confidently interact with high-level executives

• High level of integrity and discretion with the ability to work with sensitive information while maintaining confidentiality

• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment and work well under pressure without losing composure or professionalism

• Strong collaboration skills and ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and video conferencing; comfortable adopting to new technology

• Passion for the business of entertainment and desire to drive change and innovation within the industry

• Interest in a career in finance/strategy/operations
