Summary of Position

Lionsgate is currently seeking an Attorney reporting to the Director, Business and Legal Affairs, supporting the Human Resources department. The successful candidate will have experience with labor and employment matters, having worked in a law firm or corporate legal environment.

Responsibilities
• Provide counseling, advice and day-to-day support for Human Resources

• Draft and review contracts including employment agreements, independent contractor agreements, and vendor agreements

• Track and provide updates on key employment law issues

• Assist with employment-related production matters

• Work with across HR and the organization to provide advice and counseling regarding general labor and employment issues including performance management, employee classification, accommodations, workplace harassment and other relevant labor and employment issues

• Support the data privacy team on employment-related matters

Qualifications & Skills
• JD degree from an accredited law school

• Licensed to practice (and in good standing) in at least one state

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in fast-paced environment

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Experience with Word, Excel and Outlook

Nice to Haves
• At least one year of experience working for a law firm or corporate legal office

• Licensed in California

• Ability to work independently while supporting and collaborating with cross-functional teams

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Strong analytical skills
