Summary of Position
Lionsgate is currently seeking an Assistant in the Business and L egal Affairs (Motion Picture Group) department. This role reports directly to two EVPs in the Business & Legal Affairs group, and works closely with the rest of the MPG Business & Legal Affairs department.
Responsibilities
• Provide administrative assistance on two high-volume desks, including managing calls and scheduling meetings, conference calls and managing calendars
• Assisting in organizing and maintaining legal files, maintaining agreements and contract status reports
• Coordinate the execution and distribution of development, production, and post-production agreements
• Coordinate with accounting and order payment for talent, options, outside counsel and all miscellaneous incoming invoices
• Research in connection with rights, credentials of above-the-line talent, guilds, and other issues relevant to development and production
• Drafting correspondence, memos, and notices for internal circulation
• Managing expense reports, payment statements, and invoices
• Scheduling
• Handling travel arrangements and other administrative duties
Qualifications & Skills:
• Minimum of 1-year experience in an administrative support role
• Self-starter who has an interest in the business and legal side of entertainment
• Must be able to meet tight deadlines and capable of working with confidential legal information
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
• Possess excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat)
• Must be extremely detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to multi-task
• Excellent communication skills
