KXII News 12 in Sherman, Texas, is searching for a morning meteorologist to bring Texoma viewers the market's most accurate and engaging forecast every weekday morning and midday. This is morning TV, where a little personality goes a long way.
Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following:
ˑServe as primary weather anchor for station's weekday morning and midday newscasts, as well as network morning news cut-ins
ˑUpdate station website and social media accounts throughout shift
ˑServe as an anchor for station's over-the-top (OTT) news/weather product ''News 12 NOW''
ˑDesign weather graphics with an emphasis on lifestyle forecasting
ˑAssist with station's severe weather coverage as needed
ˑRecord audio forecasts daily for station's local radio partners and Alexa app
At least two years broadcast experience preferred. Must hold Bachelor's degree or higher in meteorology or atmospheric sciences. Experience with WSI/IBM weather graphics preferred. ***Must include link to demo reel in application for consideration.***
