Job Summary/Description:

Are you seeking a Producing career that provides versatility on show styles and something new every day? KWTX, the dominant CBS station in Central Texas on all platforms, is seeking a super producer who can display creativity and consistency in producing newscasts ranging from our number-one rated weekend shows to a new ''lighter'' afternoon project. This is an opportunity to get in on the ground floor and see your expertise and creative ideas come to life in traditional and not-so traditional programming. The ideal candidate thrives when working with a team, exhibits strong editorial judgment and is willing to do what it takes to present the best news programming every day. We are seeking a News Producer that will work our 4pm news segment (some weekends may be included.)

Duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Produce and booth weekday shows
- Produce and booth 4pm show
- Collaborate with news team and news managers to determine daily themes and content
- Schedule and book guest appearances
- Create social media and website posts
- Record and edit segments for broadcast
- Requires availability to work weekends and some holidays

- One year previous news experience
- Strong news judgment
- Planning skills that have you always seeking the next big topic
- Creative thinker with a desire to present information in new formats with engaging visuals
- Excellent writing, shooting, editing, and producing skills
- Ability to multitask and be calm and decisive under pressure
- Degree in journalism or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Valid Drivers License with good driving record
