Content & Programming Coordinator

Job Description

kweliTV is looking for a dynamic Content & Programming Coordinator to help shape our content strategy that's in line with kweliTV’s global mission across multiple platforms (on-demand video & audio, linear channel(s), live experiences, etc.).

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Research, identify and solicit programming and content partners for our on-demand platform(s), live channel(s) and live events based on kweliTV’s global mission
• Help meet our weekly and monthly content acquisition goals
• Schedule (drag & drop) content for our live channels
• Upload new content & update platform(s) with video, audio, metadata, images, captions, etc.
• Help create content release calendar(s)
• Manage deliverables and content creators on-boarding process to ensure content is ready to go live
• Keep our content library & content list updated

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Recent 4-year college graduate or current student pursuing a bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited institution at the junior or senior year level
• 1+ years of experience working in communications (internships accepted)
• Strong organizational skills
• Must be a self-starter who can work with limited supervision
• Believe in the mission to amplify authentic black stories across the globe
• Excellent writing, grammatical and verbal skills
• Ability to multi-task and adapt in a changing, startup environment
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in remote locations
• Knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and/or Google Docs, Sheets, Slides and Forms
• Have a passion for TV & film

This part-time position will require 10-15 hours per week. This is a contract position that has the opportunity to turn into a long-term assignment.
