KVAL in Eugene, OR is looking for a Sports Anchor/Multi-Media Journalist. The person we are seeking to join our on-air sports team will bring a unique combination of journalistic and broadcasting skills. In this role, you will provide content for our local broadcast and digital platforms, as well as maintain a robust presence on our social media pages. Your responsibilities as a Sports MMJ will include reporting, shooting and editing stories, enterprising story ideas, developing contacts, as well as other responsibilities as assigned.

• Sharp news judgment
• The ability to tell an NPPA style story
• Excellent technical skills
• The ability to work well independently
• Strong Leadership skills
• Smooth/pleasant delivery
• Sharp video shooting and editing skills
• Exemplary communication skills
• Must have and maintain a valid license and a good driving record

Requirements and Qualifications:
• A minimum of 1 year reporting experience is required
• Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field preferred
• Experience with live shots is required
• Experience with Live-U is a plus
• Exceptional written communications skills using a conversational writing style
• Strong editorial judgment and a proven ethical foundation
