Executive Newscast Producer

KUTV the CBS affiliate in Salt Lake City has an excellent full-time opportunity for an Executive Producer to join our winning news team! The ideal candidate will produce the daily Lifestyle Show and oversee production of Fresh Living and special programming. You will work closely with the other producers and talent on daily selection and coverage. Candidate will have great judgement be a compelling writer and be able to multitask to create smooth flow of show/special projects. Candidate will interface with Sales management from time to time assisting in smooth transition of clients who will be on show/special projects.

Requirements:
• Produce shows, script reviews.
• Special projects.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
• Use of graphics creatively and effectively
• Producing content for multiple platforms, including TV, internet, mobile, etc.
• Working with management and reporters to generate stories
• Staying informed of current events
• Meeting daily deadlines in a high energy working environment
• Other responsibilities as assigned
• Working with Talent, formatting show, creating copy points for show
• Reaching out to clients/hosts for copy and proper visual assets for the show
• Assist in overseeing the social channels for the Show, (IG, Facebook, Twitter)

Qualifications:
• Having a minimum two years of experience in producing and boothing live newscasts
• Having a BA in Journalism or a related field
• 2-4 years' experience
• Strong written skills and prove track record for getting results
• Great people skills with emphasis on coaching
• Knowledge in INews and Avid NewsCutter XP technology is not required, but is a definite plus!
