Job Summary/Description:
This position requires producing and forecasting weather segments for weekend newscasts and various digital/social platforms. Candidates should be versatile, highly engaged in news, and possess a dynamic personality. Work performed is for all media platforms and initiatives, including for example: on-air, web, OTT, digital, and social media.
Duties would include reporting both in the studio and in the field and the possibility of fill-in-anchor work. Research, pitch, and accept general reporting assignments from Executive Producers, Senior Producers, Managing Editor, and/or Assignment Desk. Provide story narration on or off camera. Engage and contribute content on various multiple digital platforms. Contribute initiative concepts and ideas on a regular basis. Participate as needed in studio interviews. Develop and maintain contact with news sources. Propose ideas for hard news stories, follow-ups, features, and mini-documentaries. Represent the station at various community events. Provide general assistance in the preparation of station newscasts. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Two years of air-news reporting experience as well as 2 years of experience in weather forecasting. This includes knowledge of weather computers and building maps for forecasts
- Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to work under pressure, adapt to change, meet deadlines, and work well as a team and independently
- Exceptional communication skills and excellent knowledge of current events
