About KTVF:

KTVF/KXDF/KFXF are the NBC, CBS and MeTV/MyNetwork affiliated stations serving the interior of Alaska with award-winning local news, great entertainment, and public service to the Fairbanks community. KTVF and KXDF, our news-producing stations, have been the launching point for many journalists and producers who have moved up in the ranks and are now successfully filling key roles in stations throughout the country.

Job Summary/Description:

As weather host, you will prepare and present local weather conditions and forecasts for daily newscasts. Seeking standout-breaking hosts who think on their feet, thrive on what's happening in the moment and embrace a startup culture.

Gather Alaska weather data that is pertinent to the Interior region of the state. Build weather graphics based on gathered information using the WSI program. Be available for live weather segments. Provide important weather information for social media and web when needed. Follow clothing and appearance guidelines. Represent the station at community functions. Weekends and holidays may be required.

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Knowledgeable about unique weather that can be found in Alaska. Two years of camera experience
• Ability to think on your feet and process complicated changing information into a coherent presentation
• Ability to relate local news story relevance to wider audiences
