Job Summary/Description:

Alaska's News Source is looking for a full-time video editor/photographer who is responsible for editing video and sound for broadcast on KTUU/KYES newscasts and for publication across the station's digital and social media platforms. Excellent editing, shooting and showcasing skills are a must. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, geared towards a high-paced news environment and ethical judgement.

Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
* Responsible for shooting and editing video and sound for broadcast and publication on all of the station's multimedia platforms
* Must display competence in videography and video editing, including journalistic and ethical integrity
* Must be capable of gathering news independently or as part of a team as well as pitching stories daily for coverage
* Travel is required as news assignments/coverage warrants
* Responsible for maintaining assigned gear, assigned vehicle and bonded cellular live devices (Dejero, TVU, or similar)
* Editing and posting content on station's digital platforms
* Driving a company vehicle and any other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:
* 1+ years experience as a video (news) editor
* College degree (Journalism or related field) is preferred
* Must hold a valid driver's license and a good driving record
* Must be willing to work flexible hours and a variety of shifts including but not limited to: mornings, afternoons, late nights, holidays, weekends and possible overtime hours
* Must be able to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure
* Must have the desire to be at work during big breaking news, weather coverage and special events
* Must be able to work in all types of environmental conditions
* Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
