Job Summary/Description:

KTUU is in search of an Investigative Executive Producer. An Investigative Producer is responsible for identifying, researching, tracking and producing investigative news stories for broadcast and digital platforms. The Investigative Executive Producer plans and coordinates investigative coverage with the Assignment Manager, Investigator Reporter and Investigative Photographer.

Essential responsibilities include, but not limited to:
* Making & tracking FOIA requests
* Locating and requesting court documents, police reports, and other open records requests
* Computer-Assisted Reporting
* Database mining
* Contributing to the production of specials, podcasts, OTT segments
* Coordinate and lead weekly investigative team meetings
* Research, vet, set up, gather and develop investigative stories
* Track and communicate developments with investigative stories
* Respond to viewers/readers investigative inquiries/tips by phone, email and social media
* Prioritize investigative assignments to best meet department goals
* Write investigative stories for broadcast and web/digital

Qualifications/Requirements:
* Ideal candidate should have at least 3 years experience as a producer, MMJ or online journalist
* The successful applicant's background must include, at minimum, a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism or or the equivalent
