About Station:

KTIV, Siouxland's News Channel, is the award winning, dominate NBC affiliate located in Sioux City, Iowa and serves viewers in NW Iowa, NE Nebraska, and SE South Dakota. KTIV News 4 is a breaking news and weather station covering local, original stories in the tri-state area.

Job Summary/Description:

KTIV is seeking a Web Producer. The candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day production of our online content. This position will also work closely with the Producer, Director, Assignment Desk, and news staff on the newscast and web/social media content. In this position, you will edit video, work within the newscasts as a writer and writer/associate producer, and also develop content for all our digital platforms.

Duties and responsibilities include (but not limited to) the following:
- Edit video on a deadline, working with the Producer towards a creative and informative newscast with emphasis on the viewers' interests
- Produce content for KTIV.com, and promote our coverage on our social media feeds, funneling audience to our site and our broadcast
- Coordinate the writing and editing of scripts that incorporate video, nat sound and graphics to enhance storytelling
- Coordinate live shots
- Develop and oversee the production of graphics
- Work under pressure and deadlines
- Adapt to breaking news and developing stories
- Communicate with anchors, field crews and control room staff

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Forecast weather conditions and produce/anchor weather reports on all platforms in a clear, engaging, and impactful manner
- Take ownership and execute our First Alert Weather
- Respond urgently to breaking and severe weather events on all platforms including broadcast, OTT, digital and social media
- Work collaboratively with a growing team of meteorologists
- Write and update detailed daily web stories
- Take part in promotional activities and public appearances
- Ensure all weather content leads the market and meets KTIV standards for integrity and production value
