KTIV, Siouxland's News Channel, is the award-winning, dominant NBC affiliate located in Sioux City, Iowa, and serves viewers in NW Iowa, NE Nebraska, and SE South Dakota. KTIV News 4 is a breaking news and weather station covering local, original stories in the tri-state area.
Job Summary/Description:
KTIV is looking for a passionate sports journalist who can command the sports anchor desk. The right hire will anchor our highly successful weekend sportscast, and find compelling sports stories 3 days during the week.
Duties/Responsibilities included (but are not limited to):
• ️ Produce, write, shoot, and edit daily sports-related stories for our newscasts
• ️ Produce and lead efforts in production of sports specials throughout the year
• ️ Helping to shoot and produce our ''SportsFource Extra'' and other daily sports segments
• ️ Be a multi-platform storyteller, ready to create content on our digital streams, social media, and the station's website and news apps
Qualifications/Requirements:
• ️ Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism, Communications or related field, or equivalent training and/or experience
• ️ Strong local sports judgment
• ️ Videography and non-linear editing experience
