Job Summary/Description:

We're looking for a dynamic leader to co-anchor our morning weekday newscasts. The ideal candidate is a ''morning person'' who wants to build relationships with the community, get involved with local organizations and emcee events. While the shows are usually co-anchored, candidates should be able to solo-anchor for up to two hours.

This is a great opportunity for a seasoned journalist to move into a leadership role at the number one station in Texoma. In addition to representing the station positively both on-and-off camera, our ideal candidate leads by example, bringing energy into the newsroom and mentoring younger staff members.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Anchoring live television broadcasts for our morning newscasts (5 a.m. and 6 a.m.).
- Using editorial judgment to help determine the content of the newscasts. Reading through and proofing scripts before going on-air.
- Creating news pkgs for on-air and digital platforms, including regular franchise or special reports, as assigned by news director.
- Community engagement through attending, hosting, or speaking at local events.
- Posting and regularly updating stories and other material on digital and social media. Interaction with viewers on social media is a must, particularly through Facebook Lives.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must have at least three years experience in news industry.
- Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field is preferred.
- Excellent skills in interviewing, ad-libbing, conversational broadcast writing, and on-air presentation.
- Must have strong news judgment and professional experience with news operations.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
