KSLA is the local CBS affiliate within Shreveport, Louisiana that supports viewers across the Northern Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas area. We also offer affiliations with Bounce, Circle, DABL, DEFY, Grit and Telemundo. We support the local area with daily news as well as a strong presence on over-the-top streaming services and our digital web. Viewership is strong across over 300,000 households and continues to grow at a good pace.

Job Summary/Description:

Are you looking to get your foot in the door at a dominant, award-winning television station? KSLA-TV is looking for creative, innovative team player to support our newscasts. We are looking for a part-time associate producer. The ideal candidate will have a love for all things news and a desire to grow and excel in the media business.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Write/Edit news stories under deadline
- Produce content for KSLA.com, News 12 Now app, First Alert Weather app
- Follow strategic plan for newsroom
- Produce and assist with producing newscasts
- Must have excellent people skills to deal with wide range of staff members and experience levels

Qualifications/Requirements:
- College degree preferred
- Strong writing and organizational skills
- Enjoy a fast paced environment
- Prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Flexible work hours required, must be willing and able to work a variety of shifts including but not limited to: mornings, afternoons, evenings, late nights, holidays, weekends and possible overtime hours
