If you love visual storytelling, sharing memorable moments that grab a viewer's attention then this job is for you. KSHB, the E.W. Scripps NBC station in the winningest city - Kansas City - is looking for a Photographer III to capture and edit visual content for multiple platforms.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Work closely with newsroom personnel to create and develop news stories.
• Operate various news gathering equipment, including but not limited to microwave live truck, video camera, and video editing equipment.
• Drive company vehicle for business purposes.
• Utilize graphics software packages for enhanced editing and appealing visual content.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
• Associate degree in related discipline preferred
• Generally 5+ years of experience in related field preferred
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
• Knowledge and demonstration of creativity, editorial judgement, journalistic ethics and libel laws
• knowledge of and proficiency in posting content to station's websites
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to provide proof of insurance with the company required insurance limits
