Job Description

Nexstar Broadcasting's station, KRON4, the San Francisco Bay Area's Local News Station, seeks a MultiMedia Journalist.

THIS WILL BE A FULL-TIME, UNION POSITION.

EXPERIENCE:
• 3-5 year's on-air experience in an anchor role
• Comfortable going live from the newsroom, flash cam, studio or the field with or without a teleprompter.
• Skilled in ad-libbing and engaging with co-anchors on-air when appropriate
• Must be a self-starter, hard worker, have a great attitude, and be versatile and efficient
• Must be able to narrate a scripted story as news coverage warrants
• A superior ability to originate, research, write, shoot, produce and edit stories
• Ability to work well with people in a high-pressure environment
• Willingness and interest in experimenting in new ways to tell stories
• Manage regular engagement in digital platforms
• Maintain a polished professional appearance
• Position may require employee to work early morning or late-night shift

RESPONSIBILITIES/QUALIFICATIONS:
• Willingness to produce and use a variety of technology on-air, including telestrator, touch screen navigator, Google Earth, tools that measure and present viewer sentiment, tweets and social media posts.
• Able to originate, research, write, produce and edit your own stories
• Regular engagement in digital platforms including KRON4.com, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including different day parts, weekends, and holidays
