News Anchor / Producer

Job Description

KLEW is looking for a driven and motivated journalist who wants to grow as an anchor, producer, and MMJ.
Our ideal candidate is smart, learns quickly, and helps the news team put together outstanding newscasts daily. This is primarily a nightside position where you will be working closely with the News Director. From time to time, you will also be required to turn special reports, perform live shots when assigned, and be present in newscasts as one of our featured anchors. The ideal candidate will have:
• Strong Leadership skills
• Smooth/pleasant delivery
• Strong writing skills and news judgment
• Sharp video shooting and editing skills
• Exemplary communication skills
• First-hand knowlege of shooting with a digital camera, LiveU and Avid is a plus

Requirements and Qualifications:
• You must have at on-air experience
• Live commercial television experience is a must
• Strong ''in-the-field and live'' skills
• Exceptional written communications skills using a conversational writing style
• Strong editorial judgment and a proven ethical foundation
