Job Summary/Description: Job Pay (Hourly/Salary): $32-$45K DOE

KKTV has an immediate opening for a new and unique position. Applicants must have strong Anchor and Producer skills. They need the ability to clearly convey important information while broadcasting live during breaking news and non-scripted live coverage. The Digital Anchor/Producer must be able to produce solid, accurate, informative news stories in an ever-changing environment.

Primary job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Position requires a professional image while streaming and in any social media accounts.
• Candidate must be able to coordinate with the Digital Content Manager, meteorologists, sports team, and reporters in order to produce, edit, and host a live streaming newscast or provide up-to-the-minute information on breaking news events.
• Work with the newsroom to gather and create content from start to finish, handling all of the set up independently.
• Work behind scenes work and presentation in front of the camera.
• Digital Anchor/Producer is expected to contribute original content on a daily basis for the station website, newscasts and social media platforms.
• Long-range planning is expected as well as special assignments.

Qualifications/Requirements:
• 1 or more years anchoring news at a broadcast station (TV or Radio)
• 1 or more years producing news at a broadcast station (TV or Radio)
This position is not an entry-level position, nor is it a common one. To be successful in this position you must have a self-starter with a high-level of production knowledge. This includes the ability to build and manage a newscast while presenting it in an engaging manner. A successful candidate has knowledge of the various news-gathering tools and libel laws. Experience with a JVC ProHD Studio switcher is a big plus. Please provide links or attach examples of your work.
• Applicable college degree is required. However, experience may be substituted at the employer's discretion. One year of producing and/or anchoring is preferred but experience as a news reporter, assignment editor or other similar journalism experience may be accepted.
