Digital Content Manager

Job Description

KHQA s seeking a full-time Digital Content Manager! The successful candidate will be responsible for crafting engaging content and social media posts that will drive audience engagement and help bolster our digital presence. This position will consistently look for and create a diverse range of web content from a variety of sources and work with digital leaders to constantly move the product forward.

Responsibilities and Requirements:
• Must be extremely proficient with the use of multiple video-sharing and social media platforms including YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok
• Creative in cross-promotions between on-air and online
• Will work closely with newscast producers and reporters in helping ensure content is posted quickly and accurately online
• Solid news judgment
• Be a compelling and accurate writer
• Must be proficient in AP Style
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
• Ability to execute news strategies and goals in daily digital production
• Flexibility and on-the-spot problems solving abilities are a must
• Proficiency with non-linear editing (i.e. Avid) and newsroom systems, such as iNews is a plus
