Job Summary/Description:

HNN has an immediate opening for a news photographer to join our team. Must be willing to embrace emerging technology, such as smartphone live capabilities and digital editing. Must be able to carry 50 lbs. a minimum of five (5) feet. The successful candidate is a team-player, reliable with initiative, and has excellent communication skills. Must be able to troubleshoot on the fly and problem solve under pressure.

Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
--Responsible for shooting and editing video and sound for all Hawaii News Now multimedia platforms
--Must display competence in videography and video editing
--Must be capable of gathering news as part of a team or on your own
--Responsible for maintaining assigned gear, operating ENG trucks and bonded cellular live devices (Live U)
--Posting on all Hawaii News Now digital platforms, editing digital video, as well as operating other mobile live devices
--Driving a company vehicle and any other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:
--1-2 years of experience as a television photographer /editor in a top 125 market
--Flexible work hours required, must be willing and able to work a variety of shifts including but not limited to: mornings, afternoons, evenings, late nights, holidays, weekends and possible overtime hours
--Must be willing to work in Honolulu, HI
--Good driving record and drug screen are required
