Job Summary/Description:

KGNS-TV is currently looking for someone with an eye for creativity and knowledge of photography to join the news team as news photojournalist/editor. The ideal candidate will have knowledge in videotaping and editing. They must be able to work with news makers and public contacts for information gathering in the field, and edit daily newscasts. Because we work in a fast pace environment our photographer must be able to work calm under intense situations and be able to effectively communicate. Finally, the photographer must be able to work independently and meet strict news deadlines.

Your responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following:

The primary duty of this job is to gather news video in the field, working with reporters and the assignments desk. Applicants should have experience in all aspects of television news photography, electronic editing equipment, and live equipment. They must also have a valid driver's license. Fluency in English and Spanish is required.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Non-Linear editing equipment operation knowledge and experience.
- Must know how to shoot and edit video
- Knowledge of EDIUS a plus.
- Required to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as necessary.
- Must be flexible in working various shifts as necessary.
- Must have valid drivers' license and be insurable.
- Be able to work under deadline pressures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
