POSITION TITLE: Writer/Assignment Editor REPORTS TO: News Management

Great entry level position for broadcasting students wanting to learn the basics of a successful newsroom.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS:

Aid Producer in writing news stories for KFOR/KAUT newscasts. Monitor scanners for breaking news Interact, in a positive manner, with viewers via telephone and email Dispatch crews to stories Post breaking news to KFOR.com

Candidates with the following abilities are preferred:

Strong writing ability. Calm under pressure. Great at multi-tasking.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Must be willing to work weekends, unusual shifts and holidays.
