KATV, Channel 7 in Little Rock, AR is looking for a skilled News Producer / Editor to be part of our #1 rated news team. This position will split time between producing and editing as needed. The ideal candidate will have strong video editing and strong writing skills along with excellent news judgement.
Other production duties / responsibilities as assigned. This is a full-time position for KATV Channel 7 and the opportunity to work for the nation's largest news organization.

Candidates must have ability to work in fast paced news environment. You must have the ability to produce newscast and edit video for daily news shows.

The ideal candidate will have:
• Strong news judgment
• Be a compelling and accurate writer
• Strong copy editing skills along with video editing skills
• Be able to multitask and manage time in order to put together an exciting and informative newscast
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment
• Strong leadership and excellent communication skills
• Flexible schedule including weekends and mornings
• The ability to execute news strategies and goals in daily newscasts
• Flexibility and on-the-spot problem solving abilities are a must
• Proficient with non-linear editing (i.e. Avid) and newsroom systems, such as iNews

Experience:
• Must have at least some previous news producing experience at a commercial TV station, although the right entry-level candidate may be considered
• A journalism degree is preferred
