KATV is looking for a journalist to fill a new hybrid Multimedia Journalist / Digital Content Producer role for the #1 station in Little Rock, AR. This is a newly created fast-paced job. Your responsibilities will include reporting, shooting, and editing news stories several days of the week and filling a role taking the lead on KATV.com and social media pages during the weekends – not doing both jobs on the same day. This position requires a great deal of multitasking, enterprising story ideas, developing contacts, as well as other responsibilities as assigned. The ideal candidate would be someone creative who knows how to utilize the internet and social media to help grow a brand. They would also be a strong storyteller and writer who can multitask and understands deadlines.

Skills and Experience:
• The ability to work well independently and work a beat
• Create, shoot, write and edit stories for station's newscasts that can be used across multiple platforms
• Sharp news judgment
• Be a compelling and accurate writer
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
• Flexibility and problem-solving abilities are a must
• Proficient in non-linear editing (i.e. Avid) and newsroom systems, like iNews
• Must have and maintain a valid license and a good driving record

Requirements and Qualifications:
• 1-2 years working in a newsroom is preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Journalism or related field preferred
