Job Description
KARK-TV and KLRT-TV, the NBC and FOX affiliates in Little Rock, Arkansas, are looking for an aggressive, innovative, creative, and dynamic executive producer to help transform our product. The successful candidate will lead our team of journalists by producing visually compelling newscasts that make an impact with an audience both on-air and online. In addition to producing duties, the executive producer will mentor and train producers, work with crews in the field, help differentiate the content in our broadcasts, and set the standard for how our newscasts are produced and executed.

The successful candidate will understand the importance of breaking news and the concept of dropping everything to win the big story and weather.

Candidates must have a strong social media presence and a digital-first mindset. He or she will be expected to regularly contribute to the station websites.

Above all, we're looking for someone with an optimistic outlook and a winning attitude. Applicants should have a minimum of two years producing experience.

• Responsible for evaluating stories; organizing them into a cohesive sequence within a newscast or digital content for the web
• Define strategic direction for content coverage to meet business and financial objectives
• Manage news room, contribute to the editorial process and make solid decisions in breaking news situations
• Execute strategies that engage and grow audiences across all media devices
• Responsible for successful marketing of projects and adherence to budget

Requirements & Skills:
• Bachelor's Degree in Communications, TV/film or the equivalent
• At least 5 years' experience in television or radio broadcast/production
• Must be able to interact well with video journalists, anchors, videographers, news managers, production and engineering staff
• Detail oriented
• Excellent verbal, written, and analytical skills
• Strong news judgment, journalistic integrity and understanding of viewer needs and expectations
• Utilize state-of-the-art television technology
