Job Title: Senior Motion Graphics Designer

Job Summary: Reporting to the Director of Content Creation; the Kansas City Royals are seeking a highly motivated Sr. Motion Graphics Designer to strengthen the Royals brand affinity and cultivate the next generation of fans through engaging motion graphics and visual effects. This position will create 2D and 3D motion graphics and must be highly knowledgeable within After Effects and Cinema 4D. This person must use these tools to combine motion, color, typography, sound, logos, and graphics in a way that is visually effective and communicates a clear message. This person should have excellent project-management skills, strong attention to details, and possess an eye for design and compositing. Most content will be short-form and created for In-Stadium, TV or social channels.

Position Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
• Design, create and animate high-end motion graphics for distribution across all digital platforms for the Kansas City Royals: TV, In-stadium, social.
• Collaborate with the video production team to add motion graphics into video recaps, sizzle reels, video effects, promotional end tags, transitions, and animated commercials
• Design and animate content to engage fans, such as fan cams and LED ribbon boards, theme night content, player headshots, crowd prompts and more.
• Collaborate with the graphic design team to bring motion to branded content, in-stadium graphics, and sponsorship content.
• Design and composite looping logo animations for various theme nights and events.
• Navigate existing After Effects projects in order to update or to create new versions within a template.
• Maintain and deliver consistent brand standards across all projects and platforms.
• Be an active member of our department by brainstorming, collaborating and conceptualizing ideas for all forms of initiatives.
• Address feedback in an efficient & productive manner.
• Assist with occasional production shoots, edits and other aspects of video production.
• Ability to handle multiple projects, tasks and priorities.
• Other tasks, projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Position Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Required:
• Minimum of 5 years professional motion graphic design experience.
• High level proficiency in Adobe After Effects.
• Strong knowledge of Cinema 4D.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Premiere.
• Possess the ability to design an effective and attractive composition by understanding principles of design including balance, contrast, repetition, emphasis and movement.
• Comfortable working independently on multiple projects at once with tight deadlines.
• Must be team-oriented; possess a positive attitude, a strong work ethic and ability to collaborate with others.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and work collaboratively.
• Familiar with baseball

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift items weighing as much as 15 pounds
• Must be able to work in a seated position for majority of workday
• Must be able to be productive utilizing a computer keyboard and telephone
• Must be able to be productive in a work environment where the noise level can be high at times
• Specific vision abilities include close vision and ability to adjust focus
• Must be comfortable walking to navigate the facility to access the office, concourse, etc.
• Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as required by deadlines and event scheduling
