Job Title: Manager – New Business Development

Job Summary: This position is responsible for managing Account Executives to maximize ticket revenue through the sale of season tickets, mini plans, group tickets, and premium inventory. With a focus on overall growth and revenue generation, this position will support Account Executives to reach individual and department goals through targeted campaign analytics, coaching in industry best practices, feedback through weekly one-on-one meetings. Additionally, this position will collaborate on new packaging and group ticket concepts with the Director, New Business & Development to ensure concepts align with the overall vision of the Kansas City Royals Baseball Club.

Position Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
• Hire, train, and develop a team of full-time Account Executives focused on new business development.
• Attain individual and department sales goals as set by the Director, New Business & Development.
• Oversee Account Executives' schedules to achieve daily and weekly goals for calls, contacts, and appointments.
• Collaborate with internal departments to create group and season ticketing packages.
• Generate new group and season sales through area businesses, organizations, and other campaigns.
• Maintain accurate documentation of prospecting and sales activity.
• Visit prospects and customers during home games.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Position Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Sales, or related field.
• A minimum of four (4) years prior experience in sales and/or customer services is required, with sports sales experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and develop sales leaders.
• Successful history of sales results through a variety of means (e.g., cold calling, face-to-face meetings, referrals, etc.).
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding weekly, monthly, and yearly forecasted sales targets.
• A goal-focused individual with strong organizational and time managements skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to function in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
• Proficient computer skills including experience with MS Office products as well as ability to learn and master new software programs.
• Available to work flexible hours including holidays, evenings, and weekends.
• Available for some travel outside the Kansas City area as needed.

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift items weighing as much as 25 pounds
• Must be able to work in a seated position for majority of workday
• Must be able to be productive utilizing a computer keyboard and telephone
• Must be able to be productive in a work environment where the noise level can be high at times
• Must be comfortable walking to navigate the facility to access the office, concourse, etc.
• Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as required by deadlines and event scheduling

This role is a Full-Time, Exempt opportunity that is eligible for Company Benefits, 401K, and PTO. This role is expected to have a standard 40-hour work week.
