Job Summary/Description:

KAIT-TV is searching for the next anchor for its #1-rated weekend newscasts. The ideal candidate will be energetic, passionate, and aggressive about covering the news that matters to our viewers. The weekend anchor will report on the issues and challenges our community faces when not on the news desk. There's also an opportunity to report on the lighter side of Region 8.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Anchoring & producing top-rated weekend newscasts
- Researching, gathering, shooting, writing and editing news stories for on-air and online
- Completing regular franchises or special investigative reports
- Writing in a clear, concise, conversational manner
- Reporting ''live'' on the scene during breaking news or weather
- Developing and maintaining sources of information
- Demonstrating sound news judgment
- Participating in story selection meetings
- Posting and regularly updating stories and other material on the web and social media
- Interacting with viewers on social media, including regular presence on Facebook Live
- Meeting tight deadlines and working well under pressure
- Performing other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:
- At least two years experience in a commercial newsroom
- Bachelor in journalism or related field preferred
- Knowledge of ENPS and Edius is a plus
- Clean driving record
