This role entails…
At the heart of production, you will work in partnership with editorial colleagues to deliver outstanding, distinctive, multi-platform and commercially successful content within operational, financial and legal constraints. You will also work closely with the Production Managers to troubleshoot and provide support across the board.
Outside Broadcast experience is essential, and a passion for sport is a must. Please note that due to Live production time, you may be required to work unsociable hours, weekends and bank holidays.
Key responsibilities:
To support the production manager in identifying and sourcing appropriate resource and location requirements for the production at the earliest possible stage (i.e. either at project initiation or on a block-by-block basis on a continuing production).
Build and maintain a wide range of internal and external relationships. These may include, for example, resource providers (equipment, crews, facilities etc), contributors, artistes, agents, freelancers and public officials (e.g. local authorities).
To assist with raising purchase orders, dealing with expenses, liaising with finance depts where appropriate.
To proactively assist the production manager/producer in the day to day running of the production across a range of disciplines (studio, OB, location and drama filming), anticipating the requirements of a production and resolving any operational and financial issues commensurate with the role.
To assist the production manager and editorial colleagues in supporting any opportunities for commercial exploitation and wider business strategy eg. delivering efficiency targets.
Ensuring compliance with ITV policies, guidelines, legislative and regulatory requirements (with particular emphasis on Health and Safety, Insurance and Ofcom guidelines) in order to minimise ITV’s exposure to risk. Escalate unresolved issues promptly.
Being the first point of contact on the production team and supporting the production manager in the effective management of the production team.
You may also be required to work unsociable hours and away from base (sometimes abroad).
To be considered for this opportunity you will need to demonstrate the following skills:
Minimum role criteria:
Strong organisational flair and financial acumen with a proactive and solution-focussed approach to problem-solving.
Outside broadcast experience within a busy and live production environment with a passion for sport.
Ability to use initiative and be proactive in the production environment showing sensitivity to the needs and pressures of colleagues.
