THE ROLE
Insomniac is seeking a highly motivated Signage Crew member. This role is vital to the installation of signage at Insomniac events.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Performs the load-in and load-out of installation of site signage and scrim assests
• Follow direction from leads and management to excute all signage and scrim installation
• Ensure proper installation of mesh and signage graphics in alignment with departmental standards and expectations
• Must be able to follow specific installation instructions
• Communicate with the team leads on a daily basis regarding workflow, timelines, and all production updates
• Detect faulty operations, defective material and report to crew lead
• Perform all other duties as assigned or needed
QUALIFICATIONS
• 1+ year of festival, concert, or venue experience
• Knowledge in basic lighting
• Ablility to stand, walk, crouch, climb ladder throughout entire duration of shift
• Ability to operate equipment such as forklift, boom lift, scissor lift, etc
• Ability to use hand tools, saws, etc
• Ability to confidently open, access, and navigate PDF documents on various devices, including smartphones, tablets, and computers
• Ability to read site maps and diagrams
• Ability to use two-way radios and other mobile technologies
• Must be organized and accountable of all equipment and power tools
• OSHA Certification is not required, but highly encouraged
• Must be highly motivated and possess superior interpersonal communication skills
• Position requires constant walking, climbing stairs, lifting up to 75 lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments
• May work in drastic temperature climates
• Must be willing to work during evening and weekend hours and travel to events, as required, to meet deadlines
