Job Description

Infinity Ward, developer of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, is looking for an Expert photogrammetry artist, a hands-on specialist with proven record of delivering industry leading quality.

The Expert Photogrammetry Artist position will be responsible for overseeing in-house and in-field photogrammetric captures as well as continue to develop and perfect scanning processes, reassuring highest output quality for both model and texture libraries across all studio art departments.

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
• Hands-on operate equipment and create asset database library.
• Define pipelines and deliver highest quality photogrammetry output of any asset types.
• Mentor and coordinate photogrammetry team to ensure quality and timely delivery of assets.
• Collaborate with the art department leads/artists to define best practices and pipeline to secure highest quality creating scans for vehicles, weapons, environment, characters.
• Guide and mentor all artists in Studio on best practices, techniques and quality.
• Schedule and Plan in-field capture trips with production team; assuring quality and output.
• R&D future techniques to convert real-life asset and scenes into game engine content / locations.

Player Profile

Minimum Requirements:

Technical and Visual
• Expert technical knowledge of cameras, lighting and photogrammetry techniques.
• Expert knowledge of photogrammetry; capture any type of material, surface, shape and size.
• Expert knowledge in Reality Capture, Maya, Mudbox, Zbrush as well as auto-remeshing.
• Expert knowledge of Game Art Asset pipelines and efficient modeling / texture techniques.
• Ability to create industry efficient and quality game-art benchmark assets from scan output.
• Knowledge of building scenes with scanned data, in Game Engine such as Unreal or Unity.
• Bonus ability to read and script tools using Python or C# is desirable.

Non-Technical
• 7+ years of CG art industry.
• Excellent written/spoken English.
• Shipped at least three (3) game titles.
• Experience and willingness in leading and mentor others.
• Detail Oriented with a strong eye for visual quality and realism.
• Thinking outside the box with a can-do/let's get it done personality.
• Highly motivated self-starter, honest, punctual and have a strong work ethic.
• Organized and strive to work in a development environment, meeting schedules and milestones.
• Field work requires ability to lift at least 50 lbs, walking, kneeling, hiking, and occasionally multi-day domestic or international travel.

Experience Required:

7+ years of CG art industry.
