Premier League Productions (PLP) are proud to be the production partner to the most watched football league in the world. Globally, we broadcast to 189 out of 193 UN member states, serve over 100 broadcast partners and our work is available to 905 million homes.
Our wide array of high-quality output includes live matches, digital content, studio shows, promos and magazine programming, all delivered across multiple platforms.

PLP's Programming department is looking for a dynamic, creative and collaborative Senior Assistant Producer. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning and execution of the marquee VT's for our flagship show Matchday Live, whilst overseeing and quality-controlling all VT elements within the programme.

This exciting new role demands someone who has considerable experience and expertise in all facets of the creative process. Leading brainstorms, briefing designers, directing multi-camera shoots and crafting high-end features and montages in edit.

The Senior Creative AP will also act as the liaison between the MDL Editorial team and the production management team to ensure all facilities, logistics and staffing are covered and communicated. They will also work across all PLP Programming while collaborating with the PLP Digital and Creative departments, to ensure an efficient and unified approach to VT's, shoots and ICS opportunities, thus improving communication and collaboration across the wider PLP.

This opportunity will give an ambitious and creative individual the opportunity to make the role their own. Leading a group of Assistant Producers tasked with making the high-end VT on Matchday Live while demonstrating the flair and know-how required to produce stunning pieces of your own.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a permanent role based at facility in Stockley Park, Uxbridge. You will be required to work weekends on occasion, unsocial hours as well as over the seasonal holidays. Some travel to national outside broadcasts may be necessary.

Key Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To:
• To lead in the planning and execution of all Matchday Live VT.
• To oversee and assist in the production of VTs across all PLP programming.
• To act as the liaison between the MDL editorial team and production management team to ensure all facilities, logistics, and staffing are covered and communicated accordingly i.e., camera, edit suite and freelance staff bookings.
• To act as the liaison across all PLP programmes, including the Digital department, to ensure an efficient and unified approach to VTs, shoots and ICS opportunities.
• To lead a team of MDL APs to brainstorm, plan, research, shoot and edit high-quality VT montages and features.
• To direct multi-camera shoots off-site and conduct interviews with contributors as necessary.
• To log and review rushes and select suitable material for editing.
• To lead post-production alongside an editor as necessary and be responsible for overseeing all MDL edit suite output across the season.
• To supervise and help train junior members of the team e.g., Editorial Assistants and other Assistant Producers.
• Responsible for adhering to onscreen compliance guidelines across all MDL output.

You Will Have The Following Strengths:
• Experience of idea generation and scripting for promos, montages, and features.
• Experience of leading edits and post-production for promos, montages, and features.
• Experience of managing and leading a small team.
• Experience of preparing for and/or directing multi-camera feature shoots.
• Experience of logging rushes and selecting material for edits.
• Experience of live or magazine-style TV production.
• Knowledge of the requirements of a live gallery production.
• Understanding of digital workflow.
• Understanding and experience of non-linear edit systems.
• Ability to motivate and guide junior members of the team.
• Good general sports knowledge.
• Excellent knowledge of the Premier League.
