The Partnership between SPL, SAFF, and IMG:
The Saudi Pro League (SPL) and Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) have announced a new five-year production partnership with IMG, a global sports, events, and representation company, for the Roshn Saudi League (RSL), King's Cup, and Saudi Super Cup, starting from the 2024-25 season.
The 2024-25 season broadcast of the RSL, King's Cup, and Saudi Super Cup will feature more dynamic storytelling and captivating content that highlights the excitement of the matches and celebrates the rich culture and passion that drive the sport.
IMG will also help SPL and SAFF to implement advanced remote production technologies, allowing leading producers to oversee matches across multiple cities on the same day, ensuring that the highest production standards are maintained regardless of location.
What You'll Do:
IMG are seeking a dynamic Production Executive to join our Studios business and support our new partnership with the Saudi Pro League based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. You will be responsible for the overall management
of the SPL Live OBs, content and programmes, from development to delivery, ensuring that all content is produced efficiently, on specification, on budget and compliant. In the absence of the Head of Production, you may be required to make informed decisions autonomously.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a long-term fixed-term contract dependent on local employment regulations, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabi. You will be required to work weekends and unsocial hours when needed and will be required to travel within KSA, across the various match locations/stadiums.
This position will include a relocation package.

Key Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To:
• Supporting the Head of Production, this is a senior role which will oversee and drive the day-to-day production output and to provide production support & advice to the Production Management team and work in partnership with SPL.
• Responsible for the management of all output (Live OB's, programmes, content), as specified by the HOP and ensuring all programmes/content are produced efficiently, on budget and adhere to compliance and H&S guidelines, with appropriate production insurance in place.
• To control the management of programme budgets and monitor all programme costs to ensure that budgets are met, appropriate efficiencies achieved and appropriate margins are attained. Work effectively with HOP, Finance Executive and Production Manager, providing clear narratives on production spend changes/fluctuations and accurate financial forecast and production updates, identifying problems/risks in time to provide workable solutions.
• To effectively manage upwards and maintain clear lines of communication with Executive Producers and VPs, ensuring that any potential issues are highlighted at the earliest opportunity.
• To provide commercial advice to programme producers during formulation of editorial policy and recommend methods to facilitate reduced costs and increased efficiency
• To oversee the preparation of production budgets, reviewing for completeness and accuracy – effectively project managing the process to ensure timely delivery by the production management team
• Leading supplier tenders, and negotiating rates and contract terms with third-party suppliers and ensuring IMG's commercial needs are met
• To effectively manage all staffing and resource matters within your area of responsibility in line with company HR policy which will include, identifying staffing gaps, proactively managing career development and performance, appraisals, succession planning, ongoing coaching and development. Overseeing and liaising with the HR, legal, finance, administration to ensure all staffing, suppliers and freelancers have secured all necessary visas and work permits as required.
• To oversee and spot check productions to ensure they adhere to legislation, editorial and production guidelines and provide guidance on any issues ensuring that that all programmes meet copyright, legal, commercial rights and delivery requirements.
• Ensuring appropriate legal and compliance paperwork is in place to include, but not limited to, Freelancer T&C's, 3rd party supplier contracts, on-screen team agreements, other rights agreements, post production paperwork etc,
• From time to time will be expected to Production Manage output– as well as to get shows up and running in order to hand over to departmental Production Manager or to cover Production Managers leave as necessary
• To be aware of current external practices (including sustainable production techniques) in order to deliver the most cost effective budget.
• Keep abreast of industry developments and new technology and to share knowledge and experience with colleagues.

• Development & implementation of projects that contribute to the continual improvement of processes across all areas.
• Supporting the Sustainability and D&I initiatives across the department
• You may also be required to carry out any other duties which are within the scope and purpose of the job
You Will Have The Following Strengths:
• An understanding of the commissioning process for broadcasters, federations and other third party clients
• Effective leader with experience of managing and developing teams
• Five or more years of experience at Production Manager level, ideally of both live and non-live content
• Demonstrable project management experience
• Effective communication skills
• Experience of formulating and managing large and complex budgets
• A strategic understanding of the need to exploit all platforms and revenue streams
• Strong negotiating skills
• Sound commercial judgement
• Excellent organisational skills
• Solid understanding of employment law, contract and copyright, union agreements, conditions of service, equal opportunities, corporate social responsibility, and health and safety at work.
• Highly developed computer software skills
• Experience of working in a high-pressure environment with the ability to deliver results when under pressure
• Tact and diplomacy
• Ability to plan and prioritise workload effectively
